Lucy-Ann-Fiorini, Author of “January At Fort Wayne”
What sparked your interest in werewolves?
I love the idea of shape shifters and of getting to be someone or something else at least for a little while.
What spawned the idea for your story?
I love writing Westerns and paranormal stories and one day, the idea hit me to mix the two and pit the Cavalry against werewolves and the idea was born.
Are you a Pantser or Plotter?
Pantser. I try to plot, and let me tell you I am the master of the outline, but then I just bore myself into not wanting to finish the story. It flows better for me when I just sit down and start on page one and write until the story is done.
Is there a soundtrack to this story?
“What I’ve Done” by Linkin Park. Not the soundtrack one would normally think for a Western but it works for me.
Is this a familiar genre for you… or did you try something new?
Very familiar. I grew up writing paranormal fiction since I was very young and I love it. Everytime I read a regular story I think, when does the monster come into it? And then I get very disappointed when I realize there isn’t one. LOL
What is your next project?
I have a modern day shapeshifter story coming out in another anthology later this year and I’m currently at work on a mystery series and a paranormal young adult novel.
